Things
have beginnings. The idea of an eternal past in which God always existed in the
same form is a contradictory one. The eternal past implies that it moves
backward in time endlessly. If that was so, then there would be no starting
point from which to move forward in time. In other words, you can't get here
from there because there's no there there.
